Imperial Parking “Impark” is currently looking for a Loss Prevention Specialist to join our team in Chicago.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Loss Prevention Specialist conducts various audit processes within their assigned branch or branches that are within the LP department annual plan. The LPS position assesses revenue security, policy compliance, and maintenance of best practices using an objective, analytical, and pro-active approach. The role works closely with management to ensure LP objectives align with corporate growth strategies and client retention, and provides a comprehensive revenue control program, while maintaining Impark’s positive culture and developing exceptional relationships across business units.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Overall / Strategic

  • Ensure Loss Prevention activities align with the LP strategies.
  • Assist in the execution of the branch’s Loss Prevention Strategy.
  • Develop a strong understanding of company policies and how they apply to managing parking operations.
  • Maintain transparency and exceptional relationships with other business units.
  • Balance client service and retention with revenue control.
  • Balance resources to ensure all objectives are met.

Operations

  • Responsible for conducting location and branch office policy compliance assessments, loss prevention audits and investigation plans, travel and entertainment, payroll, vendor, and other audits.
  • Responsible for compiling audit results and presenting in a written report format.
  • Responsible for the delivery of findings under a labour environment, in a professional and concise manner.
  • Perform administrative duties as required including daily audit reports, and various month-end reports.
  • Responsible for identifying revenue control concerns within their branches and reporting concerns to their regional manager.
  • Occasionally consult with external departments and parties based on audit findings.
  • Identify to the RLPM possible policy deficiencies and make recommendation to strengthen those deficiencies.
  • Deliver monthly and annual reporting of audit results for their assigned branches.

Infrastructure

  • Ensure that company policies are in place within their assigned branches.
  • Maintain an understanding of company policy objectives within their branches.
  • Identify to the RLPM possible policy deficiencies and make recommendation to strengthen those deficiencies.

EDUCATION:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 2 Year Degree

EXPERIENCE:

  • 2 years: Experience in loss prevention or operational audit environment in retail or other high volume, cash based transactional environment.
  • 2 years: Experience working with management across the organization, up and down the org chart, to implement loss prevention awareness and educational programs.
  • 2 years: Investigating incidents of internal and external theft and fraud, managing and reporting incidents
